“If music be the food of love, play on!” so said Shakespeare. In exactly three days time it’s going to be Valentine’s Day. What better way to get in our feelings and get ready for the big day (those that have reason to celebrate) than listening to some great love songs?

Scientists say that listening to music that one likes releases a feel good hormone called dopamine. They also say that listening to music with someone else can also release prolactin, a hormone that bonds people together. Research shows that music is processed in the emotional part of the brain and that it stays deep in our long-term memory. It’s no wonder then, that romantic love songs really help us “get in the mood”.ย

Therefore, in the spirit of Valentines Day, I am going to share just a few love songs from my playlist. Enjoy!

No-one makes music sexier than Maxwell’s. No-one. That’s just a fact! Fortunate is one of my favourites from him.

I think this song was the best thing to come out of that Fifty Shades thing lol.
