Hey all. It’s Wednesday again and you know what that means! It’s blogger crush Wednesday! Today we are crushing on one of my favourite bloggers and probably one of the first bloggers I followed when I started my blogging journey. Beaton’s blog is called Becoming the Muse. This blog kind of reminds me of YouTube. Once you start reading you can’t stop. It’s like this black hole of amusement and fun and seriousness all at the same time.Β

RasB and his two strand twists

Beaton is also called the Rain-man because I kid you not, every time he washes his hair, it rains! Some call him RasBeaton because of his dreadlocks. At this point he would correct me and say they’re not actually dreadlocks but two strand twists! You can read more interesting tales about his hair under the category My Hair Diaries.

I’m not into poetry at all. I remember in high school we had to study John Keats and William Wordsworth and I was just like meh. It didn’t interest me much. (I did however like Edgar Allen Poe. His work is generally vivid and macabre which I liked). Anyway, my point is even though I’m not a poetry person, I do like Beaton’s poetry because I can actually understand it, my favourite from his blog being Splashes of Words on My Screen.Β

Personally, I’m awaiting a book or six from Beaton because I think he’s a brilliant, engaging writer. You can tell that writing is something that comes naturally and effortlessly to him.

Do make time to drop by and lose yourself in this blog. I promise you, you won’t regret it. You’ll definitely learn something new and will undoubtedly bookmark several posts to read later.

Below is a list of a few of my faves from this blog.

Enjoy!
